Correct
Posture
The first step toward good golf posture is
how you position your body before swinging and you can get these ideas from one
of the best golf schools.
Begin by standing with your feet
shoulder-width apart and your knees slightly bent. Then, from the hips, lean
forward until your shoulders are over your toes.
Your spine should be straight and neutral;
avoid bending your lower back at all costs. Curling your back (both in and out)
and returning to centre with all your vertebrae aligned is a good way to ensure
your spine is in the proper position.
Now that you have a good setup posture, you
must maintain it with a "side bend" technique. To use this method,
bend at the waist and draw your shoulder towards your knee (on the same side).
Maintain proper spinal alignment. Do this on both the up and down swings.
Take
a Grip
Another important aspect of perfecting your
golf swing is having a good grip on your club.
You want to have a medium grip. You might
throw the club if it's too light. If you grip the club too tightly, you may
slice the ball.
The interlock grip, the 10 finger grip, and
(the most common) the overlap grip are the three ways to hold the club.
To get a proper overlap grip, take your
dominant hand's pinky finger and overlap it over your nondominant hand's index
finger. This also helps to ensure that your grip strength is not too tight.
